Hey all-
I am going to be blatantly honest…. I belong on a fashion ehhhhhh list right now. Not quite the Fashion Don’t list but definitely the ehhhhhh its ok, nothing special list. Looking at these pictures I really should have made some changes to my outfit such as different color belt and a brighter top to play up the contrast and showcase the bold angles in the blazer. But alas, I didnt have anything extra and this is what I snapped pics in. This is what I love about blogging and fashion… you can always wipe the slate clean and rock out in the next outfit! I decided to wear my pink UBER pointy pumps in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Although I have not been closely impacted by this devastating disease, I know many women who have undergone mastectomies and close friends’ mothers who have lost the fight to this illness. I am a strong advocate of Self Breast Exams and I hope that all my readers please do this monthly (or every couple of months). The only way to help is by early detection so ladies (and some men) GET TO KNOW YOUR BREASTS
(see below on how to do a proper self exam)
p.s. Im about 5 months into my transitioning and well its HARD! I only have about 2.5-3 inches of new growth and I find that to be difficult after washing. I’m so used to the wash and go and then the next day flat iron but when I try that now, my hair looks a MESS (see pics below). I guess its time to actually start learning how to care for, maintain and style slightly natural hair (eek! and whoo hoo!)

LOVE the jacket! I think it all works together. Even cooler that you can already think of other ways to rock each piece.

There is absolutely NOTHING “ehhhhhh” about this. LOVE the statement necklace, and LOVE the shoes.

You’re way to hard on yourself! I like this outfit, I love the blazer the super pointy shoes! This looks like an outfit that is natural and practical, and isn’t forced. Some bloggers don’t know how to do that, it comes off as forced and thirst for the wow factor. I like natural styling, something that i can see myself rocking or even something that all women of all sizes can get away with. I think this outfit would look nice on someone that’s a 2 to someone like me at a 16 or someone who’s a 20 it’s universal.

I love it all, and i think you are doing well with your hair maybe you should try Carols Daughter Transition kits, or invest in some transitioning products. Str8Away Soufle is supposed to be really good to give you that sleek look when you have that much new growth. When in doubt find a transitional hair blog, i think you’ll find everything you need to know there.

<3 you girl!! We’ll gchat about the hair stuff! I think they have youtubes on how it works too so then you can see what it’s like it worked on women’s hair that were totally natural all the way so i know it would probably look really nice since you have straight already.
