We are in the middle of summer and the heat waves are on and popping. Because it’s so hot, I am finding more and more ways to dress chic but still look effortless this summer. I’m never one to replace comfort for style. Yes, you read that right. The style blogger admits that comfort usually comes first for her but this summer I am trying to find the perfect harmony between the two.
When I think of effortless chic I almost always think of Paris and Parisian women. But I also think of loose fabrics with movement and classic iconic looks that always help you look put together. You know… like a white tee and jeans and of course summer staple- linen.
Because our preferred diapers for Teagan are Target brand, we find ourselves there at least once a week. And at least once a week I’m finding something new with Target fashion. I mean everything they have is just soooooo good lately. I’ve bought dresses, my fair share of wide-leg pants, and tanks galore. What recently surprised me though are the accessories. The purses and bags are so unique that I ended breaking my vow of no new purses and snagging one. But enough of me rambling on and on about it and let’s get to the fun outfits I recently styled to look effortless this summer.
Effortless Summer Style: Matching Sets
Nothing easier and looks more put together than a matching set. It just works and for summer Target has all these matching short sets in a plethora of different prints and colors. I may go back for this yellow print one because it’s just that good. You can dress this up or down or even pair the top and shorts with other looks.
Linen Wide Leg Pants
It’s hot. The last thing you want to be wearing is anything fitted especially pants. I’m a HUGE fan of wide-leg pants but just recently got into these wide-leg linen ones. I wore them out running errands and felt cool and comfortable the whole day so I immediately ordered another pair.
White T and Jeans
I mean it’s iconic right. A white tee and denim work for every single season. This tank is super lightweight and I like the updated neckline. A quick little knot and you can show a little skin. These Ava and Viv jeans have a ton of stretch, are super breathable and because they are loose, they don’t feel gross when the temps rise. Pair this with fun sandals or like me the classic white sandals!
