A night out at the Fogo de Chao in Tysons

“Oh, its a TAA event? Then yeah, we have to go” This is what my best friend said the minute I told him about a night out at the Fogo de Chao in Tysons.

To give you a little back story, TAA PR is one of my favorite agencies in the DC area. Their events are always well done, high class and they certainly cater to their client’s and guest’s needs. So yes, a TAA PR event is always a must go and “go we went” for a night out at Fogo de Chao in Tysons!

Last night, a select handful of invited bloggers, tastemakers, and foodies had the opportunity to dine with Ashley Arias and Rebecca Chin of TAA PR at the new Fogo de Chao in uber fancy Tyson’s Galleria in Virginia. Fogo de Chao, easily translated as “fire of ground” is a Brazilian restaurant that embodies the gaucho method of roasting meats over an open fire. This richly cultured restaurant made its stateside debut in Dallas, TX in 1997 and since then has opened nearly 30 locations across the United States. What draws me to Fogo de Chao is not only the tastiness of its culinary delights but the loyalty and commitment to tradition. Culture and tradition is their backbone.

While dining at this Brazilian Steak House, you will notice a marketplace area filled with cheeses, charcuterie, various fruits and salads. This is typically where you begin. (And please indulge in the spicy bacon, It is HEAVENLY!) After sitting with your “marketplace” plate, servers will come around asking if you would like any of their meats. Ok, that sounds bad. Real bad! Let me rephrase. Each person at the table has a two sided coaster. The red side means “STOP, I cannot eat any more of this delicious meat” and the green side screams ” feed me more, more, more, I’m a happy happy carnivore”. Based on these coasters, the servers know to come up to you and ask if you would like to have that particular meat sliced onto your plate.

The meats range from Brazilian steak to Lamb chops on the bone to the most perfectly seasoned ribs that my taste buds have ever danced to. Yes, Fogo de Chao is an experience!

The intimate dinner hosted by TAA PR, was perfect. The table was beautiful and guests included  Nicole of The District Darlings, Lacey of , Barnette of DC Fashion Fool and Ashley of Chicville USA to name a few. Oh and me of course and my plus one. Speaking of plus one, I heard there is a new “instagram husband” type IG out there by my best friend. Definitely look to follow “Jen’s Plus One“.

On another note. Yesterday was Haitian Pose Day so I had to take part in it. Culture is important and I adore mine. Even if it involves always taking pictures near trees, shrubbery, flowers, cars or in a very stooped down pose as is common in the Haitian culture lol. So yes, I took my stiletto heeled self to where the trees were and proceeded to Haitian Pose! See more of my culture and all things Haiti here(Lunion Suite)

Overall it was a beautiful night out at Fogo de Chao and I hope you enjoy the photos!
