Alright! I am a die hard Haitian. Like I love my home and my heritage. One night I received an email from Related Garments about working with them on promoting their collection with Luka Sabbat. Yeah, Luka Sabbat! And I was excited.
Then I saw the products and was even more excited. Then I heard the mission behind the products and I was even MORE geeked. Related Garments is a company based out West that makes cool undergarments and socks. We are talking unique patterns and comfy yet sexy. Their Haiti collection with the Sabbat men stayed in line with their aesthetic and I was super excited to work with them.
Because Jermaine and I together are part of “my” brand, I inquired if he could also be in the pictures and they were all about it. So one random Tuesday we went into the cleanest bedroom we had and shot some pics.
The minute I am working with a brand to create images I always pull up inspiration on Pinterest. For these images for Related Garments, I typed “underwear photoshoot ideas” and “underwear photoshoot ideas for couples” and some cool editorials popped up. One in particular stuck out and I was determined to make it happen. Until we tried it and it was too difficult to make happen.
So I made some modifications.

Holding my body up like hers was a feat and I realized that she HAD to have been on something raised. So I went with my go-to look. Stare dead into the camera. Speaking of the camera, we take our own photos so yea I was hiding the remote shutter behind Jermaine.
The entire time we were shooting (about 40 minutes), Teagan was sitting in her chair next to us playing with her toy. I am still amazed at her patience and lack of fussiness. I thank God for sending me a baby who understands lol.
