Can Crop Tops and Curvy Girls be friends?

Women are naturally insecure. No matter how much we KNOW we run this world, we still don’t exhibit the confidence we should. We hate on each other and compete for absolutely no reason. I probably lead the insecure group as much as I am the president of the Proud To Be Me Committee but well, I am a woman and we are all slightly insane. Yes, I said it.

 Every time I look at these pictures that Sig took of me, all I can think is “dang, I’m a bad mama jamma”. And I am far from conceited. He just makes me look at myself in a different light and its such an empowering feeling. Sex and The City fans, do you remember when Charlotte did the photoshoot when she was dressed up as a man? It brought out her inner bad ass. That is what a good photographer can do for you and I am thankful to have that with Mr. Sig! He captured and post processed ALL of these images without my input. I wanted him to show his work and his thoughts on fashion without anyone else’s advice and well, he hit it out of the park!

Its clear that I am not model thin. I have cellulite and stretch marks. I do not have an hourglass shape and well am pretty straight up and down wide actually but gosh darn it, I am rocking the mess out of this bandeau top and I am still beautiful!

I have been bored to death with fashion blogs for a very long time and to be perfectly honest, I have been pretty bored with my own as well. It is so typical. I want to break the mold. Blogs are a path to self discovery (c) Elle and it has helped me solidify the realization that I am NOT a sheep. I do not like to fit inside a bubble. I do what I want, when I want and that is perfectly ok. All I can happily say is that you, Comme Coco readers and supporters (thank you so much for it all) are in for a very wild but exhilarating ride! Fasten your seat belts for the months to come!
