Workwear. It can be boring or easy or not appropriate or conservative or well anything you choose for it to be. I believe that what you choose to put on your body to go into the office, it should always say you mean business. Even on Fridays. I am pretty blessed because although I work in the “C-Suite”, we are afforded the luxury of wearing jeans Monday through Friday.
I hope to be an executive someday so I try to not wear denim too much and when I do, I almost always wear a blazer with it. Being polished is important to me in the office and in life. I may not always succeed in being the most polished in my personal life but I will be “you know what” if I don’t convey a certain sense of “I can be a boss” in my professional life.
A black blazer is a must have in ANY woman’s closet. It is great for work, going out with friends and date nights. I make sure that I have at least 3 black blazers in my arsenal at all times. A hip length professional cut, a boyfriend one and then a statement black blazer. A girl can never have too many……
