Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers in the world especially my Manman, Vivie and my Boyfriend’s Mother because she brought into this world the most wonderful man. The older I get (yes I am admitting it), I realize how important these 2 women have been in molding me into who I am today. My mother and grandmother were the 2 most hardworking women I knew but yet always had time to raise and nurture their families. Thanks to my grandmother, I always had beautiful clothes and my hair was always well done every single morning before school. She taught me to be a lady and to always make sure to present myself as one (ok so sometimes I slip on the football field but ahhh well). My mother has the biggest heart of anyone I know and probably the biggest brain… she is ridiculously and incredibly intelligent and is beyond amazing at giving some of the best advice on almost any topic. I am not a mother yet but I am lucky enough to have spent most of my teenage years around children through nanny-ing or working at day cares that I know I will be just as amazing as my mom and grandmother are and will do everything that I can for my child whether it be biological or a stepchild. I will always make sure that whomever I am raising or caring for will always feel love, attention, affection but also raise them to be a much better person than I am. That is the key to being a great mother, knowing balance of love and also disciplining your child to be a great citizen in the world.. a mother isn’t always someone who shares the DNA of the child but the person who is present and accounted for in their everyday life (c) Michelle Obama. With that said…. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the women positively influencing children in the world… you truly are the best thing that can happen to a child like these 2 were for me!!!!!
