Even though the temperature is dropping and there is a bit of a nip in the air, the cropped trend is still very prevalent. To accommodate for the colder weather, designers are keeping with this length but adding it to our cozy sweaters. Of course the last thing you want is to bare your navel and risk hypothermia but what to do when you find the cutest sweater in this cut? LAYER! You can stick a collared shirt underneath as I am showcasing today or a plain or printed tee to add some dimension and stay warm. Another stylish option would be to wear a more fitted dress. All in all the possibilities are endless with cropped sweaters and I am looking forward to adding more to my wardrobe and finding innovative ways to jazz them up while keeping the chill out!
While dealing with yet another Marc train delay (they are regular!!) at Union Station, I sauntered over to H&M to see what their mid season sale was all about. I mean honestly, I already knew that mid season sale meant, I was going to buy something! Amidst all the leather, I was shocked to be drawn to this orange number and even more shocked when I saw the price! You cannot beat a $9.95 sweater so I literally grabbed one in each color and headed straight to the register before my eyes rested on anything else and temptation got the best of me. I am really trying to make a very conscious effort to save more and spend far less after reading #GirlBoss. I made a very strict “Winter Essentials” shopping list and I will be sticking to it. When I say essentials I mean just that. These are needs and not wants. At the very top of that list sits flat knee high boots because the ones I have been butchering for the last 3 years have officially given up and asked to be buried. So right now I am on the hunt for a nice pair of equestrian style flat knee high boots that will comfortably encase my 15.25 inch calves. Any help would be much appreciate as always!
