We bitched. We complained. We whined. Over and Over again about the weather. So guess what Mother Nature did? She skipped spring and gave us summer temperatures instead. Hey, I’ll take it and smile because anything is better than snow, wind and cold. Last night I went into one of my closets and pulled out my trusty Spring/Summer Work Clothes bins and nestled between dark hued items was this punchy green number and I knew I had to wear it. I bought this dress in the summer of 2012 but never wore it because I wanted to get Denisio to reconstruct it for me. My vision was to shorten the hem and possibly the sleeves as well. Alas, I have not been able to snag an open appointment with her so I had to do what most sewing machine challenged people do and get creative. I rolled it up, cinched it with a belt and voila, a short flouncy skirt instead of the midi dress that it was born to be. Knowing my figure, I know what I can and cannot wear and where this dress hits is at the very widest part of my calves and that was not going to work. Although the dress became untucked after I climbed on top of this balcony to capture a picture, it still looks pretty darm amazing. Best thing…. its Pantone’s Color of the Year; Emerald. Who knew? This little rebel is slightly trendy!!!
