Hey all-
I had the opportunity to style some models during the Eddie Bauer holiday collection event last night at Tyson’s Galleria. WOW! It was beyond fun. Anytime Sade from 9tofly and I get together it is laugh upon laugh upon laugh. But back to the event. Lola Mendez from LAforce and Stevens put it on and it was a hit. I was a little hesitant at first because I haven’t worn the preppy outdoorsy look in such a long time but the staff at this store was unbelievably knowledgeable and ridiculously friendly. I didnt know much about the brand itself and this event was not really to highlight its history but I did learn little tidbits about Eddie Bauer. The Skyliner jacket is celebrating its anniversary and according to the staff, it is the first down jacket in the US. I definitely had to use that on my male model, Tyler because I love tradition. I am adamant about going back there and shopping with them because they provide such an amazing experience. Its totally worth it.
Bloggers were asked to style a men’s look and a woman’s look from the pre selected holiday collection and it seemed that every blogger had the same idea: LAYER. We all used the vests, thermals, tshirts and jackets to create our idea of the best look. I felt for the models because they have shirts upon shirts under sweaters under down coats with scarves and hats galore. They were such troopers though and very professional.
I had already made up my mind that I was going to wear my new “leather” pants from H&M even though its more rocker chic then lumberjack fab but when do I ever fit the script? These leather pants are to die for. They fit so well and are very comfortable. I wore mine all day from 7am to 9pm and was a-ok. They stayed true to shape and although were a little warm, I know they will be a staple in my wardrobe! Let me know what you think… I call it: Chanel meets Joan Jett, Comme-Coco style! 🙂
(I didnt have my personal photographer with me so dont have a ton of outfit pics but you can get the idea)

You look great! The fit of that jacket is perfect…and I am officially on the hunt for a pair of leather skinnies!
Your looks were really nice. We don’t have a real reason to layer like that in Cali, but if we ever do, leather will be included in my look as well. Great job!

Such a classy way to wear leather! I’ve always hated the look of leather clothing but your ensemble makes me look at this material in another light!
