Eloquii Dress + Floral Boots

Eloquii Dress + Floral Boots

I rarely if ever toot my own horn but ladies and gents this outfit I put together with my Eloquii dress and floral boots has me TOOT TOOTIN!

2020 is my year of shamelessly promoting myself and not drowning in my humility that it’s almost negative, so yes, I am REALLY proud of this look. While I was in my “shoe room” putting clothes away I remembered I still had not photographed this dress. It was the center of my first TikTok vidéo but had not made the blog yet.

Another 2020 goal is to stop debuting outfits on Instagram. Instagram is for promotion and just every day posting of whatever I fancy! When I first started the blog, it was all about the blog and I would love to bring that back. So here is me—- bringing it back!

Like is true Jen fashion, I went off on a tangent. Back to this Eloquii dress and these floral boots. Nearly 4 years ago, Jermaine and I had photographed Eloquii’s first event in their first ever brick and mortar store. At that time my size was closer to the single digits and I could not fit their offerings. Let me say I was BUMMED! Everywhere I turned while photographing that event I saw the cutest clothes and I wanted it all.

Two years later, the love happy weight piled on and I could get all the cute Eloquii clothing. And I did. I even photographed so many other bloggers in DC rocking their Eloquii. 8 months into my pregnancy, I was perusing the site and saw this dress. While I do love a rocker edge, I’m also a prepster at heart. This varsity inspired contrast trim cardigan dress spoke to my private school attending self.

These boots were a purchase inspired by one of my favorite fellow fashion lovers Mikaela Pabon. She had one these boots a year or so ago and I fell in love. Typically when my New York based blogger friends rock an outfit, I cannot afford the items. They have the luxury of sample sales and more campaign offerings there so I almost always skip right by the outfit details but Mikaela did NOT disappoint with these boots. I clicked and was super excited that I could afford them! Hey JustFab!

Together this Eloquii dress and JustFab boots are a match made in heaven. Everytime I look at these photos I’m impressed with myself. I really do love this outfit THAT much. But even more so than the outfit, I love how my husband photographed it. Typically I guide or direct or have a certain idea in mind but for this I just wanted to quickly complete the task because of Teagan. He truly nailed it and all I had to do was worry about “posing”.

So what are your thoughts? Did I kill this look? Is this an outfit YOU would wear? Let’s discuss below.

p.s. both this dress and boots are currently sold out. You can add yourself to the waitlist on Eloquii for the dress though and it has other colors. It’s totally worth it!

I love this dress, especially with the boots! I have been looking for a good sweater dress that would fit my curves, don’t gap at the boobs or other areas and this could definitely work! I tried to put my name on the waiting list but I did not have the option to select my size or click save.
