I wanted to wait until my birthday this Thursday to post this because my birthday means nothing without acknowledging my family but I just could not resist. This epic sister magic shoot meant the absolute world to me because I got to create with my heart, Claudia. My vocabulary isn’t vast enough to adequately describe just how much I love her, am proud of her, and look up to her. My sister is a boss babe in so many ways and I just love her so much. I wish I could tell you all to go visit her social media but she’s not about that life lol. One day. One day.
The beau/IG hubbie/photographer saw this location and fell in love with it as did I. I always had it in my head to shoot it in a supremely fancy dress for the utmost juxtaposition but alas the dress I was going to post went home with my mommy. It just looked so beautiful on her so it would have been tragic for me to keep it.
Let me preface with this…… I. Am. Not. A. Nature. Gal. No girl scout here. No camping here. Heck, I don’t even really hike. I without a doubt ADORE the beauty that is the creations of Mother Nature but I think she lost her mind making insects, reptiles, and amphibians. Heck most rodents too. I am scared of and I mean deathly scared of creepy crawlers and this place was the home to at least 1 million spiders. I saw at least 20 percent of them trudging through the fields to take these photos. So darn it… appreciate these people. Leave some comments and love asap! lol.
I call this my epic sister magic shoot because I was shocked that my sis who typically avoids the camera was so adamant about doing it together. The chance to share my passion with her made most (not all) of the fear of being out in the “wilderness” evaporate. I would do nearly anything for my sis so this will forever be my most favorite shoot of life. Well till our next one.

Claudia and I are opposites. Im chaos and she is order. I am emotional and she is more controlled. We are the perfect balance. The yin and yang. This is perfect harmony.
Claud- I know you are reading this and I want you know how very much I love you. You gave me this poem decades ago and it still makes me cry to this day. You are the petals and I am the stem.

Family is so important. My family is EVERYTHING to me. In my “immediate” family there are only 3 of us left. But my family comprises of so many more. Thank you to , Ashley, Sarah, Elle, Tomeka, J, J Faeh, Marc, Greg, KDY, Chuck, Cecilia, Meredith and Vogue for showing me that I am not alone even when my Manman and Clo Clo are far away. I love you all.

Wow! You both look absolutely amazing 😍 I totally love the juxtaposition of your fancy attires against the beauty of the wilderness but you’re right, I’d be running for my life when seeing those creepy crawlers. It was certainly for a good cause because the photos turned out great and there’s nothing more rewarding than creating lasting memories with the ones we love most. You did a great job with the editing as well.
