Erase the Hate and Love Yourself- video blog #2

Hey all-
I wasnt planning on a post tonight or even thinking of doing another video installment but after received an email from someone and various other things concerning some of the “anonymous” comments on my blog, I felt the need to express myself. I believe that ALL sizes, colors, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations etc are BEAUTIFUL! The exterior is nothing, it really is ALL about who you are on the inside because guess what?!?!? We are all going to get wrinkly and everything is going to start heading south and as long as you are ok and happy with yourself, you will still catwalk down your normal streets with confidence!
Does it bother me when I see those “hurtful” comments on my page, not really because I truly am ok with myself.  I usually laugh and repost them on my twitter because it means someone is taking the time to look at my pics and improve my stats lol. Are there little things I can improve on?… HECK YES but overall I love the way I look because I am unique and I am ME. I have 2 legs that work, 2 arms, a brain, a heart that pumps, organs that work so for that I am BLESSED! Do I wish I had smaller calves so I could fit into every riding boot sold at stores, DUH but well I cant and its ok, just means I have to shop a little harder to find some with the right circumference. I dont want anyone to ever feel as if they arent beautiful because they arent slim/thin/skinny etc. It hurts me to know there are girls out here thinking they cant be in fashion or blog because they are a size 20 or even a size 12 or heck a size 8. I dont care what you are, ROCK whatever you are wearing and dress to suit your silhouette and you will ALWAYS be in fashion!!!!

This is a small video and it doesnt mean alot but if I can help ONE person with self esteem issues, then it was a MONUMENTAL success….. sorry to be a little heavy but I am outspoken and I dont hold back….. Enjoy….

It’s sad that you even had to do a post on this, but kudos to you for addressing this!! I really do hope this helps those who think they can’t blog about fashion or be in the industry because they aren’t a certain size.

Great post! The killer is the person leaving the negative comments most likely have confidence issues within themselves. It’s great you touched on the subject because there are girls/boys who’s skin isn’t as thick so if your video helps hopefully one of’em it’s a beautiful thing. Lovin’ your blog by the way;)

I’m proud of you for handling the negative comment that way. By turning it into something positive, you were able to do more for the readers of your blog. I’m sure your readers come in all shapes and sizes and fashion is all about embracing your body & wearing what looks good on you; what makes you feel confident, becuase really that’s anyone’s biggest assest. Thank you for reminding us what’s important & I hope you keep doing your thing! Plus you do it with such class 🙂

Its sad that you even had to address this issue. I don’t understand the need to be vicious and come from a negative place. I am proud of you for speaking your mind and embracing your curves. God made us all different and beautiful and He makes no mistakes.

OMG! That is soooo ridiculous that someone would even have the nerve to look through your blog and then say something negative. You know, its funny how people get the courage to say what they know they don’t have to guts to say to people faces. I love your way of responding. This curvy fashionista thanks you for that. And for that I’d like to give you this … http://www.fashionforjojo.com/2011/12/and-blogger-award-goes-to.html Most Supportive, Most Inspirational, & Most Fabulous blogger awards. there are no rules to receive them, you earned them. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

My favorite parts of this video are as follows:
    1. Your use of the term Botticelli chick…a great Clueless reference!
    2. Your mind blowing revelation about Marilyn Monroe’s dress size…I always forget that about her!
    3. Your unapologetic stance on wearing what you want on your blog…after all it’s called personal style because it’s no one’s business but your own!

    Brava!
