Here Comes The Bride…..

I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number you get in a diamond.

Mae West

The saying is that diamonds are a girls best friend and although that may be true, yours truly was never all that fond of them. Big faced watches were my companion of choice and well a dog too. I got my first real diamond at the age of 15 from a high school boyfriend as a token of his promise to me to be together aka the infamous “promise ring”.. yeah um well he cheated about 1 year later so I guess he must have had his fingers crossed when swearing that. My second set of diamonds came in the form of gorgeous studs by my college sweetheart for christmas  and honestly I adored and treasured them until my boyfriend after college decided to put them in his Dumbo sized ears and lost one. Can you tell I am still salty over it? Sigh… all in all I guess I have been a little spoiled by the men in my life ๐Ÿ™‚

But back to me and my lack of fascination on diamonds.. yeah well I’m not that into them. I started to think as to WHY I dont love them and its because I always associated diamonds with an engagement ring and well I never saw myself getting married so I never saw myself rockin diamonds. I was never the little girl who pictured her wedding day and I couldnt tell you what my dress would look like…..it took one man to change my mind about marriage and weddings and one a.ma.zing diamond website to make me rethink this precious stone. The former being my boyfriend Louis and the latter being this jewelry manufacturer by the name of Anjolee. What draws me to Anjolee is the plethora of choices and the added bonus of being able to customize to your hearts content. This is perfect for a blogger like me who truly detests having the same old same old mass produced trinkeries. Dont think that this is just for rings as they have  hoop earrings, necklaces, anniversary sets and bangles for those who want to add some sparkle and shine to their “arm parties”( (c) Man Repeller) and all of these are also customizable to your tastes and even your budget and best part FREE SHIPPING!!! You really cannot go wrong!

So how many diamonds do you guys own and do you have any interesting stories behind them? For my readers who are engaged or married, how did it happen… here is your chance to share a lil something somethin with me ๐Ÿ™‚

These are two of my fave pieces from the site and I was going to get the vintage bracelet but then realized I can further customize it with my gem stones so Im thinking of adding my birth stone and my mommy’s to it.
 I love the blues ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve pictured mine dozens of times, but I don’t know that it will happen. I almost wanted to be a wedding planner at one point in my life (thanks JLo) but these Earrings are hot! I like them, just the right size.

So, when I saw your post..I thought I was getting a wedding invite (hee hee). Anywho, I never planned to get married & I never was a diamond girl. But, my guy pulled over on a bridge (note I am afraid of bridges) and said we had a flat tire..when I opened the door to see the tire, he got down on 1 knee & asked me to marry him. That was 13 years ago & I still have the 4 carat diamond ring (but I only wear the engagement ring & not the band..too many diamonds). Can’t wait to see what Lou picks for ya ๐Ÿ™‚

Guuuuurl, I thought you had gotten a proposal! Lol. Let’s see, the first diamonds I really remember owning were a pair of diamond earrings a really great friend got me for my college graduation, after asking what I wanted. I also own a diamond ring that I purchased for myself like 8 years ago. It was when that “Women of the World, Raise Your Right Hand” movement was going on, and I wanted in! Lol. But I can’t lie, I LOOOVE my diamond ring, and get compliments on it everywhere I go. It was one of the best gifts I ever purchased for myself! I also own a pair of diamond earrings I bought for myself a few years back. I do adore me some diamonds! They really are a girl’s best friend! ๐Ÿ™‚
