Happy Monday Everyone! I cannot believe that in 2 short days I will be boarding a plane on my way to Germany. I’m so thankful for my job for this opportunity and I’m pretty geeked about chatting it up with all the wonderful European Cardiologist… I have been brushing up on my German and am pretty pumped to use it as much as possible. I wore this outfit last week to attend the Meeps Grand Opening Event as well Krystin of Be Loud Be You‘s 1 Year Blog Anniversary party. Because of DC parking constraints, I was unable to stay long at the latter event in order to avoid being towed but was there long enough to see 2 of my favorite fashion stylists, Keri of Diva State of Mind and the lovely Lauren Matthews and indulge in 2 glasses of our host’s famous sangria! It was so yummy and congrats to her for a year in the blogger world! This skirt was purchased off of Ebay and although it was supposed to be a maxi, I guess Im too tall because its more of a midi on me. I also recently thrifted this jacket and my shoes are OLDIES but goodies. I’m still upset at myself for not buying them in every color because they are my fave pair and pretty comfy for a 4 inch heel! Don’t skimp on Charlotte Russe! ๐
Huge thank you to everyone who commented on my CapFABB event post and for the wonderful compliments. I actually booked 2 jobs out of my coverage of the event and am so grateful to all of you who retweeted/linked back and/or just talked about my post. Special shout out to my fave blogger community group: Bloggers Like Me for all the encouragement throughout the last few weeks as well!!! THANK YOU!!!!THANK YOU!!!!THANK YOU!!!!
What do ya’ll think of the leather and chiffon? Is it a yay or nay?

thank you Elle….. ๐
I like the leather x chiffon concept. Gives off that you’re tough but girly at the same time. Especially, with the pretty color of the skirt.
Bummed that I didn’t see you at Krystin’s event.
I know!!!!!!!!!! and I did yell your name but that band was playing outside so you would not have heard me probably!
I’m thinking I need some leather in my life!!! Love the mixture of feminine & bad girl ๐
THANK YOU Caryn!!! Oh yes you need leather…. I love leather! I have leather vest, 4 jackets (well faux but you know what I mean), pants, leggings and a pencil skirt in leather!
