New Hair Do and the DC Pop Up Beauty Lounge

Hey all-

Last Wednesday I attended the Pop Beauty Lounge created by Red Sprinkle and Square Root Group and hosted by my blogger boo Naja Diamond and Nife of Skinny Hipster. I washed my hair the night before and had full intentions of straightening it and making it look cute at work before the event but alas in Jennifer fashion, I didn’t. My mail room guy brought a package up to me and I instantly realized it was the Creta Girl half wig that I had previously ordered after watching this YouTube video. I wanted to test out the natural “big” hair look since soon (well a year or so), my hair will probably look like this once my relaxer has completely grown out. I honestly cannot say that I like the look on me yet…. I did get rave reviews and TONS of compliments on it BUT…. I didn’t feel like it was me and you all know that I am not down with trends or whats hot and all about what I feel comfortable and cute in. I really hope that its just the change I am not used to because like I said, Im on the way to going natural so I need to get used to Diana Ross and quickly lol. Its funny because I went to work in a skirt but attended the event rocking my high waisted wide leg pants from The Limited instead and a FB friend said I was channeling Joan Clayton aka Tracee Ellis Ross and well, I can totally see it!
