Being that I work at a non profit medical association, you would think my co-workers were conservative and boring dressers but that is so far from the case. Every day I run into women and men dressed to the nines or showcasing their individual style in the most remarkable ways. Today we had a very small gathering for those of us traveling to San Francisco for our Scientific Sessions and I ran into marketing guru and finance lady extraordinaire, Alisha Flachs. I have had the absolute pleasure of working with her in Orlando when I worked at the AHA conference, Chicago for the Annual Meeting and then Munich for the European Society of Cardiologist congress. I not only love getting work and life advice from her but I always adore what she wears. She is truly ladylike and often channels an Audrey Hepburn or a Jackie O. As you can tell from these pics, this absolutely beautiful woman is with child ( a boy, YAY!) but has a super stylish outfit on that anyone could pull off. I love that she wore opaque tights in an unexpected color to add a personal touch and I’m excited about her showing off her curves and baby bump in a form fitting sweater dress. Even though I didnt have my camera with me today I felt such a strong urge to post this real style on the blog that after seeing my excitement, she went on a mission to find me a camera to snap some pictures of her. I get really happy and giddy when someone just owns their look and I can see their personality shine through their outfit. We as bloggers tend to look like carbon copies of each other and all try to do things in order to become the next Leandra Medine blogger superstar and really all we need to do is be ourselves! I love seeing stylish women in my everyday life and I am happy that Alisha was so willing to allow me to feature her today. I can honestly say if/when I ever get pregnant, I really hope that I have the energy and motivation to beautify myself as well as she does. Thank you Alisha for being such a pleasure to work with and photograph! Oh and did I mention, I felt her baby kick today… first time EVER in my life I was able to experience that… aahhhh fashion and the wonders of nature, what more could you need on a Wednesday???
