Print Shorts and a Basic Black T

Hey all-
TGIF! Last night I got home and was in a talking mood. Since I live alone and no one seems to take my calls when I call (yup this is a SUB message), I decided to put my extra energy to use and did a video. After I finished shooting the fashion haul video, I thought to myself, I still have some energy left and well Im not going to work out like I should so let me take some pics and that I did. I was pretty heavy on blog lovin checking out blogs and reading up on photography and honestly most of the “mainstream” blogs are just not doing anything for me anymore. Its the same shoes and bags that everyone is wearing. Im definitely NOT a trendsetter and Im not a super stylish person but what I wear is ME all the way through. It has nothing to do with what is going to get me the most attention from brands or what is going to get more blog hits. I just enjoy what I do and have found some success in it… BUT…. enough of that! I bought these shorts a few weeks back at H&M during their super duper mega summer sale and Im pretty glad that I did. Because of my thighs its rare I find shorts that are flattering on me but H&M usually is right on point… now if only they would figure out their pants… why are the legs cut so darm slim!!! I digress… . This black crewneck is also one of my faves because to stretchy but high quality material. Esprit really outdid themselves with this one. I chose not to wear alot of jewelry and kept it simple because that was the mood that I was in. I rarely use my vintage Coach bag because it just does not have enough room for me. I lug alot around no matter where I am going. I am the “in case of emergency” type girl so I always have items to get you through any situation on me at all times. Its a tad pathetic and a slight obsession of mine… SIGH!!!!

Shorts: H&M option 1
Sandals: mommy sent them to me but they are Steve Madden

Nice look!  Loving those shorts.  Just may have to run over to H&M to see if there still there.

Thank you!!! I was completely goofing off. I don’t like blogs who are too full of themselves or too serious. Not for me. I’m a goofy person hahahaha. Thank you for visiting and commenting!

you are darling and have unique style. I am going to follow you. You represent black bloggers very well! Are you mixed? You dont have the black person look. No offense, I am black too.

I adore this look!  The shorts are so cute! And you look like you had so much fun taking the pics.

I wish there was an H&M closer to where I lived :/

Super cute outfit! I bought my manman an H&M skirt in that print (I swear they never let their fabric go to waste). I love H&M clothes.

You should dress a little better for your body type. You have a very athletic shape so you should try wearing things that create the illusion of more curves, otherwise you end up looking kinda boxy like you do here. I notice that a lot of the outfits that you post on here make you look a little shapeless and your style comes across outdated. It’s almost as if you’re dressing the way a woman who is 50 would dress. You look too young to be dressing so frumpy! Take advantage of your youth, the billowy skirts and boxy tops aren’t doing anything for you. Also, your make up is off. You have white looking circles under your eyes which is a tell tale sign of using the wrong shade of concealer. You should wear a little more make up in general because you end up looking a little greasy and sometimes ashen in your photos. You have a beautiful face but I think every girl can enhance her natural beauty with a little moremake up, just not 5 lbs of it like your friend NAJA DIAMOND. Kudos to you though for wearing your real hair, we need more like you.

    Hi Katrina
Thanks so much for visiting and commenting on my blog. I appreciate the feedback as well and def love to hear it. I don’t have a particular dress style and just wear whatevs I feel comfortable in at the time. I do love the 50s as well at the 60s and 70s and so on. If you look through my blog you will see a wide variety of silhouettes but again thanks for your feedback. I do agree on the concealer but I’m darker in the summer and didn’t have a chance to update to a darker one. Regardless I am not a big makeup wearer and am not going to change just because. I have beautiful skin and get many many compliments on it so no need for makeup. Thanks though. Would love to see your blog and pictures so def let me know!!! Thanks again.

oh and by the way… my skin looks like that because I pumped up the clarity while editing…. it gives that greyish look… but please feel free to see what everyone is saying about you via twitter/FB and instagram lol
