Reflections and Fashion: Best Outfit of 2011

Hey all-
The year is ALMOST over and well I am a tad teary eyed over it. 2011 was probably one of the best 12 months of my life. Although it didnt start that way, from mid March on, it was a year for the record books! I decided to create a blog and actually did it (!), I started playing football, I met the love of my life, I lost my job only to be hired at a WAY and I mean WAY better place, I dabbled in photography, I attended a ridiculous amount of fashion events, I grew so much closer to my Mommy (Manman as I call her) and realized in many ways that my dad really is Superman, I found the joys of vintage store and thrifting, I went to NYC during Fashion Week, I tore a ligament in my knee, I met one of the most amazing girls on this planet (shout out to Sade of 9toFly), I gained about 30 big brothers, I moved into my own place and not a studio either (whoo hoo), I got so many gifts from designers/brands (hey not gonna lie, thats pretty KICK A**), I was featured as a Bombshell of the Day on the Fashion Bomb Daily and last but not least I am working for to help gain exposure from some of the bright, young, emerging fashion designers in the world! Phew, I’m pooped!!!
But most importantly in 2011 I found myself. I know MANY people always say they know who they are and what they want but I can honestly and without a doubt say that this year I became best friends with a pretty wonderful yet slightly jaded girl named Jennifer Jean-Pierre who 110% knows where she is going and how she is going to get there. She went through drama (some of her own making), cried many tears, smiled cheesy grins, laughed her signature hyena laugh and made it through a focused and determined young woman who is set out to make a TIDAL wave in the fashion industry! I urge everyone to really spend time not only learning yourself but opening yourself up to happiness because once you are truly content, there is NO better place in the WORLD!!!!

I sincerely thank you all for the support, the comments, the tweets, the FB messages, the emails, the event invites etc… I know I say it ALOT but without you, I would be just a girl with some outfit posts on a website!!!!

Here is a look back on the most heavily commented on outfits from 2011 worn by yours truly, I doubt I will have any more outfit posts for the last week because I want to focus on family, fun and the holiday festivities…. ENJOY and again MERCI!

With sincere love and thanks,
Jenni Jehanne

  1. My favorite is the printed dress with the green cargo vest. It was quite difficult to choose because all your outfits have a different vibe all while still being Comme Coco. I chose that ensemble because your legs are amazing and I enjoy when women are proud of not being a size two. No offense size two but hey most women are curvy.

  2. My favorite is the long silk printed skirt and the black leather jacket(NYFW). I am so very proud of you and looking forward to seeing your blog grow in the New Year. You are an amazing person and deserve all the greatness that has come your way and yet to come. COMME COCO 2012! Can’t Wait! Maybe I can get a feature style of the day (hint):0)

  6. Jen,

You are truly a remarkable person and a very strong woman; I’m so inspired just knowing you. Just the other day I said to someone, I thought I was done making friends until you had me at “I couldn’t decide if I wanted a chocolate milkshake or a vanilla milkshake…so I got both” ::tear:: LOL!!

I can attest to this woman knowing who she is firsthand; nothing is a popularity contest to her and I do believe if this were the 60’s Jen would be at the forefront of the movement! That’s the kind of girl she is and I thank her for being in my corner.

Cheers to an even more eventful 2012, stronger bonds and achieving dreams!

    Love you (((BETTTCCCHHH)))!!!
