Decolonize Your Mind: A list of resources against racism

Hey all-

I am proud to house this list of resources against racism–Decolonize your mind, created by Christelle Beaubouef and Lucrezia Sanes. While this is not an all-inclusive list, this is a great start.

Personally, I have been speaking out against racism and injustices within many different parts of industries for decades. I am truly happy to see the work happening now but I can say I am a bit sad that it has taken this long. I know many like me were ostracized or sacrificed success in the name of the cause are looking around now thinking “oh ok, its US you did not want to listen to”. But I realize how problematic my thinking is and doing some work on changing my mindset.

I am currently working on a list of Black and Brown bloggers and creators that every PR and marketing manager should know. Action steps are needed and although my voice is loud, my actions need to be louder in offering resources. I hope to complete this list by the end of this week. This is my offering for resources against racism.

I am creating this list to offer more names and new faces that are killing it in their content. It is a saturated industry. It’s easy to add “who you know” and I would like to help even out the playing field by doing the research. Even with we in the Black community, we have to be willing to DO THE WORK to create spaces for each other.
