Hey ladies and gents,
Guess what? Brows matter!
Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to a media night introducing the
bloggeratti to DC’s newest brow and “other hairy parts” maintenance salon,
Shobha. The event was hosted by the beautiful ladies of
Brand Link and once again it was superbly done. They invited just the perfect amount of people and the space allowed for just the right amount of socializing and networking which is key for a successful event. We were gifted with complimentary brow waxing or threading and as you see above, I chose the latter. I can confidently attest to the fact that threading kicks waxing arse any day of the week. Given I have a pretty high pain tolerance and my boyfriend swears I am a sadomasochist because of how hard I like my massages, when I get my brows waxed it hurts. Like hell to me. Threading, I felt nada. It was such a breath of fresh air! I am a true fan of this technique now and a true fan of Shobha. I now can see what they are highly acclaimed in New York.
Welcome to DC Shobha, we and my brows are so happy to have you in our burgeoning metropolis!

Cheralee is by far my fave DC blogger to photograph. She is astonishingly beautiful, gracious, and sweet. |
