Just a quick post with some pictures from my very social weekend and the first few days of this week. My calendar has been jam packed with events to attend and work and I have not had much time at home but if you have a goal you must do whatever it takes to obliterate it! Oh and well Michigan State Spartans took over the Maryland area this weekend and well I could not ask for more than seeing all that green and white flooding the DMV streets! I am SPARTA!!!!
Headed over to the Naval Academy to watch MSU basketball in the Veterans Classic hosted by Quicken Loans.
Next day it was ALL about MSU football. I braved the freezing temperatures, bundled up and cheered like a mad woman at Byrd Stadium!
Teena took me to Teavolve on Sunday morning for brunch and OMG, I will be a regular patron. I could not get over the spicy deliciousness of the shrimp & grits, the fizzy yumminess of the Sparking Green Tea Soda, and the creaminess of the Spinach and Artichoke dip. The ambiance was so cool there, the wait staff is SOOO friendly and the other patrons were super stylish. I will be going again and soon!
Then yesterday it was all about the pop up shop for M. M. LaFleur at the District Architecture Center in DC. Clothes were classy, space was awesome and the wine was delish. Thanks Brandlink DC for always being the best! One day and yes I am putting it into existence, one day I will be working for them!
Then a quick dinner of mussels, frites and shrimp and grits over at Dr. Granville Moores over on H Street. Tried the seasonal Apple & Bourbon ones and well, I was hooked. Was sopping it up with crusty bread and washing it down with Chimay White.
Yes I may be dining out alot and enjoying what DC and Baltimore have to offer culinary wise, but I still like to cook as well.
and bake!!!
and last but not least, start making my home a home!
Ummm those shrimp and grits looks effing amazing. I am jealous of all the delicious foods. When I visit I want to go to all these places!
