Sunday

Last Sunday, I peeled myself off of my couch and actually went out on a date. I have to be honest, I have been oh-so-very lazy with my style lately that it was kinda fun to get dolled up a bit! My friend Kizzy bought this dress in Chicago during our Forever 21 haul (did you catch it on snapchat?) and alas it did not fit her so I happily snagged it!

I do not often wear pencil skirts or body con type dresses anymore because of the way that my body is currently shaped. Heck, I’m honest- those endless days and nights on the couch eating and binging on Vanderpump Rules is catching up to me! Because of my lack of football playing, I have developed a little pot belly. *que in the scene from Pulp Fiction* . To add to the little pot, I also have noticed some expanding of my thighs but still nothing in my hips and no-saddle bags DO NOT COUNT! HAHAH! Because of this dressing has been a tenny bit difficult for me. One thing I will not do though, is stop being confident. Even with the extra softness, I still will rock out an outfit! I fully believe that your beauty comes from within!

I often speak of dressing for your figure and I fully believe in it. We all wish we could wear whatever we pleased and have it look devastatingly phenom on but that is not the way the world or fabric works! As I have spoken before, I believe that fit and flare or a-line styles seem to flatter me the most. Why? I am a mesomorph. I am (usually) tomboy shaped. I do not have an hourglass shape and often have to create a waist with my clothing and this is why I adore billowy wide leg pants and of course a good skater skirt! top baltimore bloggerWhen I choose to wear body con or shift or column type dresses, I almost always add a belt to create a waist and draw the eyes in. I have been noticing a lot of fellow bloggers that will wear any trend without giving thought to what it is doing to their shape. OH- the hair! Since I am growing it back out, I have been experimenting with curls and other styles. I recently purchased a curling wand since I like a specific type of curl pattern and well- those things are the devil! I tried one curl, burned my hand and that was that. I grabbed my FHI flat iron and created my own wavy curls using it!simple date look

Love the simplicity and comfort of your outfit. I think you nailed a great “date look” with all of your beautiful girlie body. Can’t wait for the “date #2” look.
