Behind the shoot: Talbots campaign

A few months ago, I was honored to have the opportunity to work on a Talbots campaign. Although the Covid-19 crisis did change things up alot, I was still very proud of the content that Jermaine and I shot and sharing with you now on the blog. I love sharing these behind the shoots posts because often times there are stories that I like to share.

Many of you know I am VERY particular as to who I work with because integrity over everything for me. While some based it on the compensation, I try and look at the entire brand as a whole as to ensure our mission and brand vision align. It is important to me to work with brands that respect, revere, and use POC and have a diverse profile. There are many brands that have slipped up in the past but are now making strides to make changes and then there are brands who just DGAF. The latter, I will not work with and I do everything in my power to never link. Ahem, ahem revolve!

For this Talbots campaign, Teagan (at nearly 2 months old), Jermaine and I headed over to Annapolis on a beautiful March day to photograph the outfit by the water. But since it was a beautiful day, all of Maryland seemed to have the same idea. It was packed and it was WINDY.

I honestly was getting super grumpy about the wind because my hair was blowing all over, the jacket was sticking to my body and I did not want Teagan to be sick from the changing weather. I was also googling if it was even ok for her to be out in the sun and Dr Google let me know it was a resounding no. Yeah, I felt bad. Like super bad.

So outside of this one pic, she stayed in her stroller fully covered and we quickly took a few pictures of me without her.

Then we headed over to Iron Rooster and ate dinner because hey we were out there anyway.

For the second outfit, we were in the middle of moving into our new home and noticed how beautifully pink the tree in our front yard had bloomed. Because the dress and purse had pinkish coral hues, I decided it would mesh well. So we stopped moving boxes, I changed and we shot the pics.

These are some of my favorite photos. They are so simple but the colors just make me happy.

Typically there are more fun stories and I will continue to share these behind the shoot posts with you. I think it is important sometimes to see the full picture and not just the one or two pics that you see on social media or the posts.

Hopefully you enjoyed this behind the shoot post of working with Talbots and you come back for more. If you are interested in these items, you can find them down below. Thank you for reading and let me know if you want to continue seeing these by commenting below.
