We spend most of our lives in bed and yet most of us just do not get a great nights sleep. More often than not it’s attributed to lifestyle but every now and then our mattress has something to do with it.

For me, it is a little bit of both.

I love. Like LOOOVVVEEEEE sleep. I can sleep 12 hours and still want to stay in bed. Resting and laying in the bed is one of my all time favorite past times and it was not until we were gifted the Tempur-Pedic Luxe Adapt mattress that I realized how much MORE I could love sleeping.

Yeah. This is going to be an honest review.

A little about the Tempur-Pedic Luxe Adapt

For the sake of not boring you, I am not going to list out the features that you can easily read about by googling this mattress.

Instead I want to chat with you about how it has helped me and my lifestyle.

When we first received the mattress, my first honest impression was 1) wow it is lower than my previous mattress 2) this bad boy is way too firm.

But Jermaine wanted a firm mattress and I wanted to be the good wife and oblige. And frankly, I can sleep almost anywhere so there is no need for ME to be picky at ALL!

The first night in it, I almost fell off the bed. Why? I am an edge sleeper. I love risking it all and being as close to the edge as possible while laying on my side. I also only feel comfy sleeping on the left side of my body.

Didn’t I say earlier that I was not picky? Hmmmmm.

Back to the edge sleeping– because of the body cradling capabilities, it is near impossible to sleep on the edge edge without falling off. The mattress molds to your body and starts to cradle downwards if you are on the edge and YES you will fall off.

For the first 2 weeks, I was not that INTO the mattress. Jermaine loved it oh so much and I was just… sleeping.

Because I always believe in providing the most transparent and honest of reviews, I wanted to really wait it out before writing anything about it. For the record, this post was not a deliverable in exchange for the mattress. I am choosing to write this on my very own.

From the very first night, Jermaine was obsessed. He routinely exclaimed that his leg pain had dissipated and his back felt better. He swore he slept more soundly as well. From his snoring, I could attest to that.

Me- I just slept. It was not life changing by any means.

Not until the day after a hard basketball workout when I woke up feeling like a million bucks. My body felt great. I guess he was right….

Suffering from scoliosis and some other ailments, I had become accustomed to just feeling all sorts of aches and pains. But about 3 weeks into having the Tempur-Pedic Luxe Adapt mattress, the severity of my pains significantly diminished.

So yeah- I was instantly sold.

Now my biggest problem is getting OUT of bed. I never want to. On my work from home days, it becomes my office desk. I just love this darn mattress so much and am thankful that I was chosen to receive it.

Moral of this story:

Do not expect quick results. With a new mattress some bodies need more time to adjust than others. For me it took about 3 weeks and for Jermaine it was overnight.

If you are thinking of purchasing it, I say… DO IT!

It will have you sleeping like a Jen and Jermaine!
