It has been a while since my last blog post and I am not even going to try and be “fake” with the whole I am sorry for not posting. Because frankly, I am not. I was not out here doing anything spectacular besides living life. I have always been adamant that Comme Coco would be as authentic as possible and I would not post just to post. So I have done my best to stay true to that. I have worn some cute and not-so-cute outfits the last month and some have been documented on my Instagram but overall, I just haven’t been creating content.
I have however been shopping. Well thrifting a whole lot. Ok well not a whole lot but enough. I am in the process of trying to move closer to work so all my funds are wrapped up in that endeavor. I just cannot with that commute from Baltimore to DC every single day. As much as I want to love the Marc train, I just do not have faith in it as a reliable mode of transportation for me any longer. They have tried their best but alas… I am so over you Marc train!
I purchased this coat from one of my favorite Baltimore thrift stores and immediately thought of Olivia Pope. Although I have never liked her style of dress, I do like her classic (with a twist) outerwear choices! This black coat embodies all of that perfectly!
With the impending move, I am also attempting to get a capsule collection going. I want to just stick with the French woman’s basics to a perfect wardrobe and really need to give away most of my current collection. One because I need more room and two because I don’t wear more than half of it. I always gravitate towards the same old same old so I just need to purchase a little more of the same old same old and keep it moving!
With thoughts of this capsule collection I am currently on the hunt for the following:
- over the knee black flat boots for those of gal’s with wide calves
- heeled knee high boots
- nude pumps
- white ribbed turtleneck
- white turtleneck sweater
- navy blue double breasted wool winter coat
and it begins…..
This coat!!!!!! Is everything.
I just discovered your blog and I love it.
