The Plaid Skirt

Do you see the above ladies and gents? Do you see this? Its an outfit post just like I promised. My knee feels a million times better and although I still cannot wear heels comfortably, I am able to walk normally in flats. The weather is finally changing here in DC and this little blogger is oh-so happy about it. I love layering, jackets and tights so the chillier air is welcomed by me. As stated before I have a thing for plaid. Im not goo-gaga over it as I am leather but plaid can be a good mistress every now and then. I decided to wear my plaid skirt from my “Blair Waldorff” costume to work and although I did get hit on by a 16year old on the train, I felt really cute in this pairing. It is a little school girl-ish but hey, I was feelin it. I sent a picture to my mom and that instantly had her digging up olg pictures of me when I did wear a plaid uniform to school. It started at La Lue in Haiti and then Holy Cross and St. Gerard in Lansing.  The skirts were super long (past the knees) and we wore them with white button downs and white socks but of course yours truly had to roll it at the top so it could be more flattering. Wearing boxer shorts under the skirt was also a trend back then and every one of us would steal our dads underwear or buy mens shorts in order to be “in style”. Hahaah, oh the days!

I think I need to get another denim shirt. I love this one but definitely wear it far too much!

Shoe Dazzle booties and they are so incredibly comfortable. Goodness be, I love that company!
