I am not a beauty or makeup girl, but I am a stickler for protecting my skin from sun damage, so I was really excited to try out the toty suncare line that just launched. This new line is created by Sofia Vergara, yes HER, and after testing out the products, here is my opinion.
what is toty?
toty is a new skincare line that is all about being beautiful while still protecting your skin. Created by Sofia Vergara, it boasts a serum, cc cream, foundation compact, and antioxidant booster to keep your skin staying magnificent even with exposure to the sun. Each product has broad spectrum spf50 mineral sunscreen, is water and sweat-resistant, and looks, smells, and feels like regular makeup– not sunscreen.
I tested out the 4 toty suncare line products and without a doubt, the compact is my favorite. I’ll explain more about that later.
toty serum review
I tested out the toty serum first and did not shake it. Without shaking it, it was a separated liquid mess. But reading directions is fundamental, and I shook it like a salt shaker and then put it on to find the easiest to put on serum. It was not greasy or oily and actually gave my skin an almost matte finish. At first, it looked white on my skin but it melted and blended so well that you could not tell I had anything on. I could easily use this as a primer before putting on makeup and I’ll use this serum daily. I gave this a solid A!
toty cc cream
Out of all the products in the toty suncare line, this was my least fave. While it felt great and matched perfectly, I did not get a wow factor as I did with the other products. Probably because I am not a makeup coverage girl. But it’s an unbelievable product for those who love medium to high coverage and sun protection. This also has SPF 50 and is filled with amazing antioxidants to help your skin look its best. I give this a B solely because I don’t see myself using it as much.
toty suncare line compact
I cannot rave about this compact enough. Not only is the packaging beautiful but the contents are even better. When I applied this to my skin I exclaimed “WOW!!” out loud. It matched my skin PERFECTLY, had the creamiest most velvety finish, helped my skin glow, AND resisted my sweat. After I put it on, I went outside to shoot photos in 90-degree Florida heat with 67% humidity and my usual sweat beads did not form as quickly. After about 25 minutes, I started seeing some sweat but nothing like when I am bare-faced. I felt like a babe opening my compact to apply my suncare and envisioned I was a sultry siren like Sofia Vergara while using it. I love this compact so much that I am buying my mom one. This is an A+++
antioxidant booster aka solaria infusion
Last but certainly not least is the antioxidant booster or solaria infusion. We all know that beauty radiates from the inside out so it’s only natural that toty include this type of product. I was SUPER wary of these but I have been taking them for about 8 days now and I notice a difference. This booster is infused with antioxidants and vitamin C and it actually tastes really good. I tried it on its own and mixed it with water and each way is delicious! It does have a citrus flavor so if that is not your cup of tea, then this may not be for mixing in your cup of tea. I give this a solid A.
In the end, do you have to purchase all products, absolutely not, but if you are someone who wears some type of makeup coverage daily, it would not hurt to purchase all 3 products for variation. For lighter days the serum and cc cream would do. For more velvety and second skin days, then its serum and compact. I think you get my drift.
If you are someone who just wants to dip a toe in the toty suncare line pool, I highly recommend the serum and the compact.
