Last Summer Outfit

Ok, so its not my last summer outfit but my last “summerish” outfit post. These pics were snapped on the Sunday of Fashion Week right after Monroe and I enjoyed a delicious brunch with the Dark & Lovely team. Not only was this my first ever brunch with a brand ( I think), it was also my first time ever seeing the Brooklyn Bridge so close. I am still awaiting the day I can have a Miranda and Steve moment of walking across it but hey this was good enough for now.

First and foremost, I am easily the world’s worst packer. I literally make up outfits and create lists and still end up overpacking and hating EVERYTHING I have brought. This Fashion Week was no exception. Well these ripped jeans were the exception, cause I love these bad boys but everything else in my opinion sucked. Of course we are our own worst critic but you get the drift.

Like I have mentioned in many posts, I dress according to my mood and outfits can make or break my mood at times. I was not feeling myself at all in this outfit. Maybe because I really wanted my tan and mint green version of these sandals instead of the black ones. Who knows?

But back to packing. I always have a suitcase jammed pack with articles of clothing and nothing making me really happy. I was also having a bad hair day so all around I felt like such a lump on a log.

BUT….. that is the day I met a wonderful lady who happens to work at L’Oreal and we hit it off. So much so that I was invited to meet with the rest of the team  to discuss a possible collaboration/ partnership/ influencer opportunity with my fave beauty and cosmetic brand in the world. I can comfortably say that now after reviewing all the lines under the L’Oreal umbrella. I seriously use pretty much all of them! But stay tuned for more on this opportunity!

Ok so, since I have more trips planned in my future, I am looking to all of you for help. What are your packing tips to help me? How do you efficiently pack your belongings to have more space in the suitcase? How do you decide what to bring?

Please, pretty please help a sista out!

Sorry I’m late..I travel a lot for work et al….my secret: I always pack items I “know” make me feel good! So no matter what my mood is that day, I know I will always feel/look good! Also, fit is key, so if something fits me great, it’s a no-brainer and your attitude will reflect that. It has to come! I try to at least pair two outfits with similar colors, that way, I don’t have to pack a lot of shoes to match. Lastly, I “Roll” my clothes…takes up less space.
