Springtime Ice Cream Socials in DC
It was a bittersweet day. The weather is amazing here in DC, my love life is amazing, my family is healthy and professionally I am making successful strides towards a fantastic future. A few weeks ago, I interviewed for a pretty lucrative position here at my company and 6 hours later I received the wonderful news that I got it! I have been on cloud 9 and highly anticipating starting until I realized I would no longer be working with my phenomenal team in my current department. So it is really bittersweet. These beyond wonderful people threw me an ice cream social to celebrate the new position as well as say goodbye. Oh & for those that know me, yes, I cried. Oh and not just because I broke my fave sunglasses either. Because really?
