The Black and White of It

Hey all-
There is nothing as beautiful as a black and white picture. There is a certain striking quality about it and such a powerful emotion that is invoked in me when I see an image devoid of color but yet still pops. I am not sure if it has to do with the stark contrast of the neutrals themselves or the fact that I adore black, grey, and white but regardless it works for me and it tickles my fancy. I recently attended the Meets Obsession Photography Exhibit and Launch Preview of their new magazine and felt I needed an outfit that embodied all things that I love.  This color palette with leather satisfied that to the T and I felt comfortable and stylish all night long. I truly believe a woman/ or man is the most attractive and in style when they own their ensemble and the easiest way to do so is to be comfortable in your own skin as well as the garments that are adorning your body. Although I am going through some serious body insecurities right now, when it is all said and done I’m happy to be healthy. For the event I decided to wear my faux leather H&M panel skinnies with a boyfriend blazer and a graphic NYC T shirt that I purchase for 2.50 from a street vendor in the city. It just worked so well for me and I love how the shirt photographs! I also added some statement accessories and my new Firmoo aviator glasses that I just received. I am a huge sunglasses junkie and love all styles and shapes and these are no question going to be in rotation. Firmoo seriously has the best selection at AMAZING prices! I like their graphite color and they are surprisingly very high quality for the price. I suggest you all check them out and see if you can get a free pair as well! Who doesn’t love a free pair of high fashion glasses? (they also have reading glasses as well)
From the small taste we got, I am ridiculously sure that this is going to be one of my go-to fashion and lifestyle magazine. Meeting Kate Reeder last night was truly a pleasure because I find her work beyond amazing. A simple portrait of hers tells a remarkable story and I hope that one day I can even have a fraction of her talent. Not only is she a skilled photographer but she is so open, welcoming and very humble and I was happy to attend and support her exhibit. I very much wish the absolute best for her! Please check out her site as well as Meets Obsession Magazine for more!

I’m a big fan of a black & white combo. This outfit is so rocker chic but business appropriate at the same time!

Love the look and faux leggigs are everything every fall. FINALLY starting to get under 80 in LA so I’ll be able to rock my leggings once the weather permits. Cute!

Hey girlie! I see I’ve been missing lots of good fashion over here. 1) I love this outfit and it is VERY much my style. If I could, I’d steal it right off your body…which would do me no good as it’d be way too small which brings me to my next point 2) Your body looks great and I lurve it (is that weird?). I’m having MAJOR body insecurities myself and just bit the bullet and splurged on a personal trainer because outta nowhere I picked up an extra 10 lbs that took me clear past the line of thick into fat girl. Some embrace and are gorgeous as full figured women…I am not. I just look plump!
