Blogger’s Night Out, the DC Edition

Hey all-
My nose def grew!!!! Why? Because I lied to you all, my faithful readers and stated that I was done with attending events after last week’s craziness but… well….. how could you possibly expect me to say no to Bloggers Night Out?? (yeah I know purse my lips into an O form and say no right)… Bloggers Night Out is a soiree for bloggers created BY bloggers… how ingenious is that? Its a fun time to just shop, mingle and do all the fun yet nutso things that we bloggers do, like take million pics (as you will see a lil further) and strut our stuff for hours in 4-5 inch heels! Even though I went back and forth about attending, I pushed myself to go because it was the first time in DC and well I have to support my lil metropolis and other bloggers! Everyone may think that blogging is some whatever thing but really this is our business and real work!

This soiree was held at the Bloomingdale’s store in Chevy Chase in the personal shopper area of the 2nd floor. I LOVED the decor. Black, white with shades of pink.. I mean come on, I died it was SO comme coco chic! Like most events, the minute we walked in we were greeted by the event coordinator (Caitlin Moran) and asked our names. Then we were handed goodies encased in the signature Bloomingdales ‘Brown Bag” tote bags. I didnt look inside till I was home but I was stoked for one particular item- The Freefingers gloves! You dont know what they are?!?! Well dont fret my pet because I shall tell you. These are toasty winter wear for your hands that allow you to still TEXT/TWEET/or GAME on your touchscreen phone while staying warm. Being that I just got my iphone and am on it about 14 hours a day, I know this gift will be heavily utilized when I am waiting for the always late metro this season.

After checking in, I chatted up the bloggers I know and also reached out to new bloggers and then got to work being the amazing SHUTTERTHUG that I am and snapped away (247 times to be exact). After being photo crazy, I headed towards the back to speak to the founders of Style Book app which I have and ADORE! This is such a cool app for Apple products that allows you to organize your closet on your phone.. reminiscent of that video program that Cher had in Clueless (one of my fave movies by the way). All in all it was a GREAT night ESPECIALLY when my name was called in the raffle to win a SICKENINGLY  fabulous iPhone case… I so felt like Monroe of Fashionsteelenyc because I won!

I encourage anyone to attend a Blogger Night Out event because its an AWESOME time for us lil fashion poppets!

FYI: A black leather jacket has become my signature, yes, yes I know, I wear them alot. I only have 4 of them and yes I am wearing sequins… I tried to be festive in my own way 🙂 Cant blame a girl for trying!

Lots and lots and well LOTS of pics… ENJOY!!!!!

If you made it to here then THANK YOU so much for looking through all those pics and for your continued support. I love to read your feedback and I do my best to respond and visit each of your sites. Milles Merci and Beaucoup de Baisers!!!
