DC Law Fashion Week

For those who believe that there is no fashion in law or no laws in fashion, I beg to differ and so do the people behind DC Fashion Law Week. This week long event is back for its 3rd year to engage students, fashion professionals and the community to learn about the legal issues that impact the industry. Through panels and events, there provide an open forum to promote awareness of the legal matters in fashion. I am pretty excited to spend the night before my birthday, attending and covering the finale fashion show of DC Fashion Law week. According to the committee putting it on:
“This year, Fashion Law Week will help launch Broadway Serves’ groundbreaking #FashionForward campaign. The campaign was created to raise awareness and promote charity initiatives in Uganda while highlighting emerging fashion designers. #FashionForward’s charity partners include the Uganda Project and The Ugandan American Partnership Organization. Broadway Serves! is a service organization comprised of members of the theater community who are looking to “be the change we want to see in the world.” Broadway actress Lauren Lim Jackson will attend as a spokesperson for Broadway Serves! Lauren has performed in a number of Broadway Serves’ volunteer events in NY, and has an impressive resume of Broadway shows including Memphis, Finian’s Rainbow, Wonderland, and the upcoming Berry Gordy musical Motown. Lauren Lim Jackson is known as quite the fashionista in the theatre circles and her attendance promises to add some high profile glamour to the night!”
