This year I am all about collaboration and taking photos with others. I just love the way outfits pop when you have someone equally as dope standing next to you.
I love shooting with my husband because it is our chance to completely control the shot and the look. In case you did not know, all of our pics are taken by us. Yes- tripod and remote shutter in the middle of a busy DC sidewalk lol
We took these bad boys when we were waiting on our dear friends Troy + Barnette for dinner. With my crazy work schedule and lack of energy, I basically have to shoot when I have the inclination or there will be no content.
I have also decided I want to put more on the blog. I am desperate to go back to blogging and not focusing on instagram. Recently spoke with a blog reader who said she goes to my site for daily inspiration and I am not offering that. Back in the day I was posting 3-4 times a week and loved it. It is time to get back to that. I think the hardest thing was creating content that resonated and content that taught but sometimes its just speaking. I am back to just speaking. Yes, I will still offer how tos and edutainment but I would much rather have consistent content right now then not posting because its not attention grabbing enough.

You know what i love about your style is that we know you wear these outfits in real life. It’s not about going and styling a bunch of outfits just to the blog, but this is the real deal and someone like me appreciates that because it’s relatable and something I can see myself in.
